Mine Sources Are Shrinking, Fine Stones Only Get Rarer

Copper, aluminum, and phosphorus‑bearing groundwater seeped into rock cracks, slowly crystallizing under specific temperature and pressure — copper gives blue, iron gives green, and trace elements produce rare hues like rapeseed yellow and Tang tri‑color. As it crystallized, limonite filled the fissures, forming natural matrix lines — turquoise's own “natural ID.” Its porous internal structure makes it suitable for hand‑polishing and wear, but also means that dense, intact rough stone is extremely rare. High‑quality sources are dwindling globally, and top‑grade material is increasingly hard to find. Fine turquoise will only grow more valuable over time.
